Through the Fire and Flames es el single que ha lanzado a la fama recientemente al grupo inglés Dragonforce, gracias a su aparición en el videojuego Guitar Hero III como último tema desbloqueable (y difícil de cojones he de añadir). El tema es la primera pista del tercer álbum de la banda, titulado Inhuman Rampage. El single alcanzó un discreto #86 en el US Billboard Hot 100, pero el grupo vio como las ventas de su disco aumentaban drásticamente después de aparecer en el mencionado videojuego.

El grupo inglés, que ha rechazado los apelativos de Nintendo Metal, Extreme Power Metal o Bon Jovi on speed, tachandolos de etiquetas raras que les intenta poner la gente, está trabajando en un nuevo disco, veamos con que nos sorprenden.

Por cierto, la canción originalmente tiene una duración de 7:21, pero la editaron para hacer el videoclip, acabando en 4:59.

Replica está incluida en el primer álbum de los finlandeses Sonata Arctica, publicado en 1999 (estamos nórdicos ultimamente xD). El disco fue un rotundo éxito allí en Finlandia, lo que provocó que saliese de tierras nórdicas y se publicase en el resto del mundo.

En 2006 lanzaron un disco recopilatorio que contendría una versión remasterizada de Replica, y que sería el primer single de dicha compilación.

Me encantan los riffs de guitarra de esta gente, no parecen metidos de bulto, como a veces ocurre.

Grandes grupos se pueden encontrar en los países nórdicos, y que, al menos para nosotros, no pasarán desapercibidos.

If I Could Fly fue el sencillo de mayor éxito del album The Dark Ride publicado a finales del año 2000 por el grupo alemán Helloween. Pronto se convirtió en uno de los temas más famosos y exitosos del grupo europeo.

En el apartado puramente musical, la canción destaca por el excelente uso de ese piano, que tanta personalidad le da, además de las voces potentes y puramente "metaleras" del solista del grupo, Andi Deris, sin hacer de menos a los espectaculares riffs de guitarra repartidos por toda la canción.

Por cierto, recientemente he tomado la decisión de ir distinguiendo los distintos subgéneros metal como es debido y hacer una clasificación un poco más exacta, como ya habéis podido comprobar con esta última.
