Hoy os traemos una genial interpretación de un clásico de Michael Jackson, Billie Jean, del álbum Thriller. El cover viene de la mano de uno de los mejores músicos que he tenido el gusto de escuchar en mi vida, José Feliciano, que consigue hacer con la guitarra española cosas que yo nunca creí posibles.
José Feliciano es principalmente cantante de boleros, toca más de 17 instrumentos, además de cantar, y es ciego de nacimiento. Su mayor éxito lo conoceréis casi todos, el "Qué será".
Si bien el género al que se dedica no es que me entusiasme, en lo que se refiere a tocar la guitarra española muy pocos pueden hacerle frente. Increible.

Pasaba yo a ojear unos conocidos foros de música, y cual es mi sorpresa al encontrarme una entrada bajo el nombre de "Gracias a Dios...". Uno se intriga con estas cosas, y no puede resistirse a entrar (Si es Dios, y está en un foro de música, deberá ser algo grande).
En el fondo me esperaba una gran decepción, pero no, no estabamos ante otro caso de "aberraciones" musicales, sino todo lo contrario. Ahí estaban dos de los mejores cantantes de las últimas décadas, juntos, compartiendo, lo que ellos no sabían, eran sus últimos días de vida.
James Brown a.k.a. El padrino del soul, El creador del funk, y todos los apelativos que queráis, junto a Pavarotti, uno de los Tres Tenores y uno de los mejores cantantes de ópera de los últimos tiempos, cantaban el ya mítico tema del rey del soul, It's a Man's Man's Man's World, uno de los mayores éxitos de Brown, compuesto a mediados de los 60.
No hay nada que pueda describir la unión de las voces de estos dos artistas, que aunque parezcan incompatibles, demuestra que cuando uno siente la música, cualquier combinación es posible.
Como decía el autor del post en el que descubrí esta joyita: "Gracias a Dios... o a quien corresponda por permitirnos cohabitar en tiempo y espacio con seres como estos, y gracias por la música". Aprovecho para saludar a los foreros de Meristation :P

Que decir de esta diva del pop. A pesar de sus 50 añazos a cada disco que hace lo convierte exito. Pocas cantantes, por no decir ninguna tendran tantos premios como Madonna.
Esta cancion "4 minutes (for save the world)" pertenece a su nuevo disco "HardCandy" y con la colaboracion de Justin Timberlake y Timbaland. Se dice que esta cancion es de R&B Contemporaneo pero a mi me sigue pareciendo al pop que madonna nos tiene acostumbrado.
Espero que os guste. Y como curiosidad el videoclip me recuerda a Hypercube (La pelicula) para los que la hayan visto... Y la parte que mas me gusta de la letra "But if I die tonight, At least I can say I did what I wanted to do"...

Canción incluida en su último disco, As I am, del que se vendieron 742.000 copias en una semana, y más de un millón en dos. Es el tercer álbum de estudio de Alicia, que claramente arrancó con fuerza, la misma que tiene su primer single (No one) que también merece mucho la pena. Además de mona y una gran música, esta buena muchacha colabora actualmente con la ONG Keep A Child Alive. Así, con fines benéficos, ha grabado una canción junto a Bono de U2: Don't give up (Africa). Sure looks good to me', además de una preciosa canción, es, según dice ella misma, su mantra, las palabras se repite tantas veces como necesite, que recuerdan que no es tan terrible caer, porque uno vuelve a levantarse ... y así son las cosas. Porque significa muchas cosas, porque en vivo suena aún mejor que en el disco... (doy fe); porque a mí personalmente me supone una buena dosis de energía, música, letra, interpretación y demás; y porque tal vez a alguien más le resulte útil. Rihanna aparecio hace algunos años con el disco "Music of the sun" aunque todo el mundo la conozca por el ultimo disco y el exito "Umbrella" o "Please dont stop the music" pero la verdad es que esta artista ya estaba aqui mucho antes. Es muy jovencita (solo 19 años) y empezo a los 15 gracias a Jay-Z que escucho su maqueta y la contrato de inmediato!
En esta ocasion vamos a poner una cancion de su segundo disco "A Girl Like me" que tiene muchas otras canciones buenas que animo a que las escucheis.
Como curiosidad ha participado en una pelicula, y el exito que a todo el mundo parece encantarle "Umbrella" en principio fue escrito para Britney Spears, pero como ella ya tenia todas sus canciones escogidas para su nuevo disco (que a mi parecer todas las canciones tienen exactamente el mismo ritmo) se lo dejaron a Rihanna, y gracias a dios, porque habria que ver como "La Britney" destrozaba esa cancion (Esta claro que no hubiera llegado al numero uno de las lista de todo el mundo xD).
Y como comentario personal... Me fastidia que ahora todo el mundo diga que le encanta Rihanna desde siempre cuando no sabian ni que existia... ¬¬
Y bueno... Rihanna tambien fue considerada la artista "Mas zorra del año" por la revista Playboy el mes de Diciembre de 2007.

El legado que nos ha dejado esta artista es importante. Despues de su tragica muerte en un accidente aereo las ventas de sus discos subieron. Mucho de los artistas han nombrado en sus letras a Aaliyah. Desde luego fue una gran perdida, si no ahora mismo tendriamos muchos mas exitos cantados por esta gran artista. Este single "Try Again" fue publicado en el 2000. Es una de las canciones mas conocidas de Aaliyah y sin duda una de las mejores, con la colaboracion de Timbaland. No sabemos donde habria podido llegar esta chica de 22 años, que aunque era joven prometia y mucho en la musica. Os dejamos con su video y esperamos que os guste.

A Natasha Bedingfield según sus poprias palabras le gusta hacer canciones que salgan de ella, que la describan y que realmente sienta.
Y lo consigue, llega al público con temas como este, soulmate, su ultimo single. Sinceramente a mi se me ponen los pelos de punta.

Beyonce Knowles nacio en Houston, Texas. Hija de una diseñadora de ropa y de un productor y manager musical. El cual hizo famosa a su hija gracias al grupo Destinys Child donde Beyonce comenzo y de la que era coescritora y coproductora de la mayoria de las canciones. Salto a la fama con la cancion “No, no no”. En 2001 gano el premio ASCAP a la mejor compositoria Pop del Año, y fue la primera afro-americana y la segunda mujer en la histaria en conseguirlo.
En el 2000 Destinys Child grabó "Survivor" que debuto como numero 1 de la lista. Survivor fue doble platino cuatro semanas despues del lanzamiento. En el 2001 consiguieron dos Grammy: Mejor Cancion de R&B y Mejor Interpretacion R&B.
Despues de todo esto Beyonce se planteo su carrera en solitario. En palabras de ella: "Esta vez solo he tenido que componer para mi misma, los temas son mucho mas intimos. Tambien buscaba ritmos mas potentes y la posibilidad de colaborar con otra gente."
Hay muchos artistas que han participado con Beyonce en sus discos: Jay-Z, Sean Paul, Missy Elliot... Babyboy es uno de sus exitos con sabor arabe, sexy y la colaboracion de Sean Paul.
Otros de sus exitos mas conocidos han sido: Crazy in love, con la colaboracion de Jay-Z, Lose my breath, dentro de Destinys Child... Y sigue su carrera, ha llegado a participar en peliculas y quiere lanzar al mercado una marca de ropa interior y de perfumes. Vamos que esta chica no frena y tiene mucho camino por delante.
