Numb fue incluida en el album Meteora, publicado en 2003 por el grupo estadounidense Linkin Park. Vendió mas de 800.000 copias la primera semana, que en 7 meses se convirtieron en 3 millones.

Este tema en concreto, fue el tercer single del disco, siendo además el de mayor éxito de Meteora. Alcanzó el #1 en las listas de éxitos US Mainstream Rock y US Modern Rock, además de un meritorio #11 en el US Billboard Hot 100.

En 2004 se haría un remix de Numb, junto a Jay-Z, formando parte del album conjunto Collision Course. El resultado sería la canción Numb/Encore, de una calidad exquisita, por cierto, y cuyo video incluyo para que la disfrutéis.

Musicalmente no hay mucho que decir, lo habitual en Linkin Park, letras llenas de rabia cantadas por el solista Chester Bennington acompañadas por las (escasas en este tema) palabras en forma de pseudo-hip-hop por parte de Mike Shinoda, aderezadas con un toque electrónico y de guitarra que resultan en una mezcla muy agradable a los oídos.

Personalmente, me gusta mas la versión con Jay-Z, pero bueno, es cuestión de gustos.
