Be Yourself fue publicada en mayo de 2005 en el disco Out of Exile por el grupo estadounidense Audioslave. El album debutó como #1 en las listas de éxitos de EEUU y alzanzó el disco de platino.

La canción que nos ocupa fue un rotundo éxito en el país norteamericano, llegando al puesto #1 en las listas US Modern Rock y US Mainstream Rock, durante 3 y 7 semanas, respectivamente. Aun así, recibió valoraciones negativas por parte de la crítica, achacando falta de personalidad al tema, por similitud con otros grupos contemporaneos (hay que ser memo...)

Ya hablando de la canción en sí, estamos ante una auténtica delicia musical, a todos los niveles, tanto instrumental, como vocal y transmisión de sensaciones, es realmente sorprendente como este tema provoca justo la reacción que se propone, aunque no entiendas la letra.

En mi opinión, es de esas que se te quedan, que aunque no sepas de que grupo es o donde la escuchaste, si la vuelves a oir, piensas: "Oh, es esa canción que escuche una vez y me gustó tanto!"
